Building Immune Health in Winter

Winter is that time of year when colds and coughs and flus abound and with heightened fear about respiratory illness, parents are more concerned than ever.  Tragically, the message coming from healthcare and governments is to vaccinate with vaccines that don’t have any element of the actual flu strain they are claiming to protect against.  In addition, the adjuvants in the flu vaccines negatively affect your child’s immune system so I generally do not support flu vaccines.

Keeping immune health strong is the key to good health always.  When the body has good immune health it has the ability to resist different pathogens like bacteria and viruses.

I’m terrible at remembering most quotes and colloquialisms and my wife makes fun of me for how they get translated from my memory.  However, there are two quotes that I use easily and often in my practice when working with parents:

  1. When you know better do better.
  2. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
